Matt Jones and Ryan Lemming Suck-Ups

I heard it yesterday and heard it last week, these two are saying that CMS should be considered for COTY for the UK turn around.
Talk about ignorance going to seed and taking root!
And, just to cap it off they said the fans did not want DJ to be fired.
Matt was the lead and the Lemming (yes, I spelled that right) said, "100% correct Matt".
I actually think their show is pretty funny and will continue to listen.

I don't want to see DJ fired necessarily. That's Stoops decision. As a fan I try to enjoy the games. There was a lot more wrong with this defense than play calling at the beginning of the season. I feel Stoops had more to do with calling plays in those first games than some of you realize.

One thing I will say. Stoops and Co did a remarkable job considering the loss of their starting QB right at the beginning of the season, especially given Johnsons obvious limitations.

It isn't ignorance. If Kentucky had beaten Georgia, I believe there would have been (justifiably) some votes in favor of Stoops for SEC COTY. Not finishing off the Georgia game was the end of that discussion. Without a doubt, Nick Saban deserves it again this year. I do not believe Coach Eliot is necessarily safe. From the moment Coach Stoops took over our defense, Eliot's status has been up in the air. The fact that our defense significantly improved as soon as Stoops took it over is pretty good evidence that Stoops needs a different defensive coordinator.

He isn't COTY material. At all. Does he and his staff deserve credit for the turnaround after the first two games and losing Barker? Yes of course. But the last two games show he has a long way to go to be successful in the SEC. Now I will say this- if he can beat both AP and UL to end the season, consideration could be warranted but I think the LSU coach deserves it if he beats Florida and A&M.

To have access to the athletic programs you can't be balls to the wall. I think he does a decent job of calling things out without getting to the point of alienating himself. It's a fine line.

The UT game was a step backwards (or showed how valuable Jordan Jones is).......but other than that the defense has been drastically improved ever since the New Mexico State game.

Oh goodness. You could say that about every defense in the USA. Noone is expecting a Bama defense. Its been 4 years....the only impressive Defense I have seen was vs Vandy and USCjr and I think those offenses at the time explain it all. We got train wrecked by UT, Florida, USM, NMSU, MSU(2nd half). All not really amazing offenses. Lets stop making excuses. Im already trying to predict next years excuses:

"Our players are just too old"
"Its okay we just need another year"
"The other teams have just gotten better"

Simply put, we failed at our chances to take advantage of alot of down teams this year. I dont want to know what an improved USCjr at SC, Kirby Smart year 2 at UGA, Butch Jones with alot of veterans, Vandy with alot of returning starters, MSU with Fitz at MSU, or Ole Miss with Shea Patterson will do to us. If we cant improve next year will be even uglier. I thought we were going in a great direction, but whether we want to admit it or not, we just beta some pretty down teams. And barely(aside from Mizzou)

Reaching a lot there. Players or not, Southern Miss had it's season high scoring against UK. Florida had their high against UK as well. I wanted Eliot fired last year. He isn't DC material. Some guys just aren't cut out for that. You could demote him but I can't see that working out for either party

Not sure about that. Barnhart seemed pissed off on his radio show when Jones said the players don't like the new basketball uniforms. Barnhart said they did and Jones said that is not true.

I think Stoops has proven he can get us to 5 and now 6 wins seasons. That's definitely not coach of the year material. The question is can he get us to the next level and next year will go a long way in determining that. All the pieces should be in place for a breakthrough year other than the QB issue. I'm rooting like crazy for him because I like him and I'm tired of having to start over with a new coach every few years.

Give Matt and Ryan a break - I used to bust their balls a lot - They give us fans a stage to talk about the Kats with people all over the state - they dont have any real inside info - they are just fans - when u come to that conclusion of them u can understand them better- I used to want to hear all this breaking insider news from the show their isn't any and really never have been - once you realize that you just listen because we love the Kats because I used to really think they could be a INSIDER FOR US FANS but in reality they are just fans - dont hold your expectations to high for KSR and it is really a good show and thats about it - research the web - you wlll get a lot of more inside info from other sites a ton more
