Matt Jone's NCAA Tourney Upset Pick goes down!

Jones has been touting Iona as an upset pick in the NCAA Tourney all year. Well...that won't be happening as they lost to 18-13 Manhattan tonight in their tourney final.

I am not ragging on Jones, but probably best to wait to see who makes the field before saying "pick this team as an upset in your brackets!"

Why should jones wait until the field has been set to be picking winners losers? This board is absolutely loaded with girls whining and crying about games and matchup's that haven't even been set.

This is true, people are going to predict.


That said, everyone 100% knows that the team most of them are "crying about" is in the tourney. I also do not think most are crying, but making legit points about the stupidity of the NCAA committee's selection process. I will say there are way too many threads on the subject though, no argument there.

Iona is a damn good team and it was a solid solid pick by him but crap happens . I wouldn't be at all surprised if Iona gets the final 4 in the NIT at minimum. Let's call it what it is - Masellio coaching outta his mind yet again . While alot of people don't like him because he is loyal to the crypt Keeper he is a damn good coach .

Incidentally, is it known whether or not Massiello went back and finished his college degree? Isn't that what kept him, embarrassingly, from taking another job last year?

actually Matt said originally that either Manhattan or Iona whoever wins that league can upset a team specifically mentioned UL because Manhattan almost did it to them last year. He just started saying Iona instead of Iona or Manhattan because Iona won the 2 regular season match ups. I'd be willing to bet he doesn't back off saying Manhattan will be an upset special.

I'll give Masiello this much. He's got a top notch beard. Makes him look like Commander Riker and much less frat boy douche.

Matt Jones may not have played but, neither did Oscar Combs, Jerry Tipton, and most of North America. Still, we all have opinions. Personally, I like North Florida to win it all.

he says he played all through high school and has posted pictures of his high school team. He however regularly admits that everyone who went out for the team made it, and that he never played in the games. I've seen some take a few shots, not pretty.

I just want to call BS on Massiello getting his degree mid semester last year. Why did no one question that? The story broke about how he lied about graduating when he took that USF job resulted in him getting his degree in a matter of weeks. Explain how that happens without applying and taking a full semester?

He went to Middlesboro High School. I don't know if he played Basketball or not.

? Does their jersey say Kentucky? I don't care who makes the field, as long as we whip em. It's fun discussing bubble teams, but nothing to get fired up over. If you haven't proven yourself by now, you weren't good enough anyway.

Yes you are or you wouldn't have created a thread based off of a team Matt mentioned could possibly be an upset team in the tournament losing lol. Some of you all really need some help when it comes to Jones.

Ha! Matt said the Rory was the favorite for this weeks tournament, but he is in second place!

Matt said Adios this morning to end his radio show, but he mispronounced the "A" as being a short a instead of a long a...I always knew he was an idiot.

Matt Jones hates UK Football (this is my favorite) because he said he doesn't believe we will beat Bama this year.
