More details on the league: it succeeded the British Basketball League as the top league in GB in 2024. 9 teams in the league, £400K salary cap, no more than 6 non Brits on the squad. Average salary is £31K per season.

Last year, MCR finished 4th at 15-17.

We'll have to watch, but if it's one of the worst leagues in Europe then how much of a challenge and growth opportunity will it really be for him?

It's playing with grown man. It's a challenge for far better players.

You should start at a level you can put up decent numbers, otherwise, chances are you are out of that world in a couple of years. You are not a development project anymore. No one is bringing in foreign talent with the intent of developing it as a 3-5 year project. You either can contribute or you are useless.

The euro leagues are not dominated by former NCAA stars. There's some of those, sure, but the largest percentage of successful careers are from players that were not college standouts. Who started in humbler places, and worked themselves up to solid 28-30 year old pros.
