Surprises me. But l suspect Rhule rightly figures that his value is at its max right now. He did an amazing job at a place where nobody thought a turnaround could happen so fast.

Wow. One decent season and he wins the lottery with a 60 million dollar contract. This type of deal reflects college football’s current status as a complete prop for pro football. Basically, any player or coach who has a chance to be good in the pros will dump the college game for their bag of loot. College football is basically a glorified minor league for pro football. What’s absurd is most schools want their fans to pay their donor money and pay the season ticket prices as well. Thus, the college fan base is funding the NFL millionaires club. It’s hard to root for much of the current state of affairs.

Rhule did a nice job of getting Baylor competitive in a very short period of time. The Baylor job looks to be a good landing spot for some up-and-coming assistant or a previous head coach looking for a breath of fresh air.

If I was Baylor, I'd consider taking a look at Chris Peterson (former coach at Boise State and Washington). He'd be great in the B12.

Baylor may be done. It was upper class team w/ many moving on. Rhule did not recruit well either. Some say he left the cupboard bare. Which could lead to a rough start for the newbie HC.

Kind of like West Virginia...lots of similarities as Holgerson left for Houston. Baylor has some real challenges ahead.
