How is this an upgrade for Atlanta? Have they identified a Next Man Up?I don't recall an off-season with so many big names - a lot of whom are starting QBs - on the move. Next year's NFL will look far different than this past season.

Baker or Crab Legs guy.How is this an upgrade for Atlanta? Have they identified a Next Man Up?
They are at Pickett's pro day.How is this an upgrade for Atlanta? Have they identified a Next Man Up?
Fact or fake, that made me lol. They are at Pickett's pro day.![]()
Ryan is in decline. (I was going to mention that he’s 36 but that argument doesn’t work the way it used to.) Washington fan here: I’m not brimming over with enthusiasm about CW but I wouldn’t be happy with Ryan.Looks like Colts took advantage of Washington and Atlanta. Will need to wait to see final details of contract if true.
The Redskins potentially look a bit foolish. Most would agree that Ryan is an upgrade over Wentz for the next 2-3 years. And Ryan cost less in draft comp too…not sure about guaranteed money.Looks like Colts took advantage of Washington and Atlanta. Will need to wait to see final details of contract if true.
You must not recall Jameis Winston’s crab legs incident from FSU.Baker and who?
I do now.You must not recall Jameis Winston’s crab legs incident from FSU.
As an Eagles, fan you should know not to fear Wentz. The Redskins potentially look a bit foolish. Most would agree that Ryan is an upgrade over Wentz for the next 2-3 years. And Ryan cost less in draft comp too…not sure about guaranteed money.
As an Eagles fan, I’m ok with this.![]()
Looks like they are trying to tank. Apparently Matty Ice asked to be traded and they did him a solid. This is just bad business. As I said before, there is a reason why some organizations never find success.
Didn't the Colts win the Super Bowl 15 years ago? This is just bad business. As I said before, there is a reason why some organizations never find success.
I think he meant the Falcons. They take a 40 million cap hit this coming season which will severely limit who they can sign along with only getting a 3rd round pick in return. From what I could find they only have 13 + million of cap room for next season and still have to sign their draft picks and have no QB.Didn't the Colts win the Super Bowl 15 years ago?
That's a little bit more than Trubisky, who only had $5 million guaranteed of a 2 year $17 million contract. Not sure of the specifics of Mariota's contract. I wouldn't doubt they draft a QB with the number 8 pick.Sounds cheap to me?
It's a QB centric league. Playing catchup is $$$ now. That's a little bit more than Trubisky, who only had $5 million guaranteed of a 2 year $17 million contract. Not sure of the specifics of Mariota's contract. I wouldn't doubt they draft a QB with the number 8 pick.
I agree, but having a really good QB on a rookie deal with a great team around him can work too. It's just a matter of if you want to build a team for the future or if you want to trade all your picks to try to make a run immediately. It's a QB centric league. Playing catchup is $$$ now.

Speaking of suck, looks like Baker is odd man out.Drafting is a crapshoot too. Trevor Lawrence looked can't miss, but did Urban's crappy nfl stint ruin him?
None of these QBs look good, which means they likely go to half decent teams and have a shot at a decent career. Being drafted by the Jets, for example, has been guaranteed suckitude for 30 years now.

Well it's official now.Seems like a bad juju move to move on from Baker, but I wonder if his shoulder is much worse off than originally thought? He's not had had a bad rep in the NFL until they decided to move on unless I've missed something. Which is possible.
Somebody will take him. Just a matter of who.
