Just asking for all Olympic athletes, coaches and fans to be safe in he up coming days. It goes beyond the water and zika virus issues. I remember well the 1972 games and the loss of 11 lives because of terrorist. Prayers are needed. OFC

I'm sure USA security forces are heavily involved. Team USA hoops is on cruise ship with bullet proof glass all around & 250 federal officers. No messing around.

But what about the rest of the athletes and everyone else. hope nothing happens but don't be shocked if it does. Brazil can't even get the water clean. OFC

Well our BB team got off to a great start. Didn't see the game but I understand China had 30 fouls called on them. Good ole Coach K even has the Olympic officials in his back pocket. Go U.S.A. OFC

Reports are that a " random " bullet went through the top of a media tent. Nothing to be alarmed about according to Brazilian officials. Now let me ask how does a "random" bullet go through the top of a media tent. Some people need to wake up down there. This could just be a warning shot. OFC

Guys don't want to be negative but Lochte and his three amigos are embarrassing to say the least. Out clubbing and drinking till wee hours of the morning never works out. Sooner or later luck runs out and you mess up. Most things that happen after mid-night aren't good and then they really made fools of themselves. Hope they somehow all get to come home soon not just Lochte but let's face it they are in Brazil. To be honest this cause me to understand a little better why some countries hate Americans. They should have known better. Shame on them. OFC

Based on some reports that I've heard today, it seems like Lochte's teammates have said that he's responsible for most of the damage that was done to the restroom.

Ryan Lochte has always seemed like a world-class douche. Who pays $25k for this?

This was all very confusing to me once the additional information came out. My question is, if you vandalized the gas station, you acknowledged it, and then came to a mutual understanding that seemed to resolve the situation, why the hell would you then go public with a made up story that would instantly draw an investigation?

Either they are that arrogant or that stupid.

Lochte has never come across as intelligent in my mind. Don't know about the other 3 guys, though.

Lochte is an idiot...always has been for people that know the sport or anything about him...he's 32 going on 16 years old....he deserves everything he gets or loses from this.

Just heard a stat that if you only tallied the medals won by American women, they would be 3rd in the overall medal count. That's incredible.

If they subtracted all of United States gold medal from our total, we would still have 5 more medals overall than China that has currently has the second most medals behind the US. Also earlier in the Olympics during one of Michael Phelps interviews they showed a graphic that with all the medals that he's won throughout his Olympic career he would be ranked like 4th or 5th in these Olympics at the time of that interview.
