I'm glad we offered a 3 1/2 star 6'10" 290 lb center. If he comes he can eat up a lot of space (and food) for more than half a year.

Duke has received 5 crystal ball picks for McCormack in the last 24 hours. Looks like could be a four-year guy. I would take him without hesitation.
We need these kinds of kids in the program for some continuity and stability...Glad we offered!

If Bolden leaves after next year, which I would expect him to do so, the only center we'd have on our roster would be Vrankovic (a senior, no less). And we're not looking at too many guys in the 2018 class that can play the 5. David McCormack and Moses Brown appear to be the only bigs in 2018 that we're actively recruiting right now. I think a commit from McCormack would be huge, especially for a guy that's expected to stay multiple years.
It takes a special kind of guy to sit on the bench and wait your turn at Duke. Nolan and Quin did it, others don't. Perhaps this guy has more realistic expectations like Vrank and won't mind doing it.

AV has been patient thus far. He actually tussled with transferring but stuck it out. He'll be rewarded, barring injury, as soon as this upcoming season. McCormack will be wise to follow his example because both guys can end up in the league.
McCormack will be our second 2018 commit behind Reddish, IMO. Tre Jones will be late summer/early fall. Just my predictions.
Love the idea of recruiting two guys (McCormack and Jones) who plan on staying more than a year!
If we get Tre would have no problem with him following his brothers trajectory of blowing up and going to the league after a NC
Tre Jones is elite and blowing up right now. He's not a guarantee to be around very long.
