McIntosh looked tired to me-physically and mentally

Tough night. Mental errors and he knew it. Some uncharacteristically bad passes and turnovers. He's a soldier, but I think we should have pulled him and put in Ash earlier. Or Lindsey. Or pulled Tre and add more Tap. I know Tap gets a bad rap on defense, but he's been nothing but great in the minutes he's played so far. OSU was beatable, but obviously not with our shooting %'s the past 2 games. I love that we don't give up. The next few games are winnable.

I'm wondering the same thing.

Is Ash's defensive game reasonable enough that you can put him in for Demps, and improve the scoring with Taphorn for Lumpkin? I'm not a stunning fan of Lumpkin's defense, so maybe you only lose a little on defense, but you'll have some reasonable offense for 10 minutes a game.

I wish I could confidently replace Demps with Lindsey in that scenario, but he's a foul machine.

I think you need to try something. The offense has to be more than BMac and rebounds off misses.

I agree that Mac looked tired. This is a big concern only 2 games into the Big Ten season.

I don't think he looked mentally tired. I think it was more that he was frustrated with how he played.

He's worked hard on his body to withstand the Big Ten season.

He started trying to do too much. Demps's 3/17 with one rebound and zero assists coupled with Flazon's early struggles and Pardon misses put a lot of additional pressure on him

Sure he looks tired because he is. Right now he is the best ball handler, passer and scorer on the team. Think they have to give Ash more minutes and Demps less and lets not forget that a possible PG is taking classes at NU, choosing not to play and using a scholarship.

I'm calling the turnovers mental mistakes (esp the passes he'd like to take back). Or I could be wrong and we had too many guys all have a bad night on the same night.
