Got hit on a screen early in the game, you could see him immediately affected thereafter throwing the ball up the court with his left hand. Glad they pulled him early on this one as he didn't have the strength to do much of anything with that arm. Hopefully they can get him ready for Thursday and that Law can also return, we need both of them playing well to get the win.

Love the moxie of Scottie Lindsay right now. Maybe he can be our Glen Rice? Man he is filling it up.

Didn't see the hit but makes sense. Two consecutive pick 6 turnovers. Actually I think both ended up as threes. The shoulder is in bad shape and he needed a cortizone (sp) shot to play the last game. Good thing is that a couple young guys got to play a lot of minutes in Benson and Brown (although what is he doing taking 14 shots when he wasn't hitting). We are really really thin right know. Down to about 7 players with all the injuries

The extended playing minutes Brown is receiving has just shown he's definitely not a PG and turnover machine.

Cortisone doesn't work. Tried it. Nasty. Got to rest. Go with Gaines

Brown would be at his best on a run-and-gun team. He needs a fundamental philosophical change if he's to fit in anywhere else. He doesn't seem to have bought in.

He likes to cut down the lane (needed) but then he seems too small to actually get it through the forest and he isn't getting the foul calls

Correct. I really don't want to sound like a negative jerk, but Brown is simply not a Big Ten basketball player. There is a reason he had virtually no offers, and also a reason that CC was not playing him until he had no other choice. Brown's first half performance, when we lost the the game, was abominable. Those calling for Brown to get more playing time throughout the season simply don't know what they're talking about

Both Gaines and Brown are less than 30 percent from three point land. Check espn stats. Brown around .28 and Gaines an abysmal .20. Ash was 3.24 about even with Mac from three point land. The real difference is on defense. Ash had 13 turnovers all season, while Brown has 23 while logging less minutes. Ash had 14 steals, while Brown has 9. We got destroyed by the open looks of Iowa. That never, ever was the case when Ash was in there. Hope he doesn’t need surgery and is full go next year.
