Reggie Lynch, despite claiming that three separate women have falsely accused him of sexual assault (man, he is one unlucky dude that somehow three women randomly conspired against him!) decided to drop his an appeal of his expulsion due to two of those assaults, because, as he put it

"I gave my truthful answers to the EOAA,” Lynch said. “I had nothing to hide. The truth did not set me free, however. In today’s climate, people will automatically assume that you are guilty. ... I am angry that there is no real way to defend myself. I feel helpless and powerless.”

Reggie, I am going to take a wild guess that you are not the only one who felt helpless and powerless over these alleged incidents....

He’s a disgusting human who has been assaulting women since high school. Minnesota knew that and still brought him on. Pitino family values.

It sure sounds like he earned it. But do we know why the police did not investigate this?

It sure sounds like he earned it. But do we know why the police did not investigate this?

In the first case, Lynch was immediately arrested, but the district attorney declined to press charges, and Lynch was released. That may have been a factor in why the second and third women did not report their allegations to the police, instead going to the university. That is why the police did not investigate those allegations. Why the University did not refer those matters to the police for criminal investigation is not explained in any of the stories I found.

Thanks for that. It has gotten to the point where I have little faith in any university’s ability to dutifully investigate these matters and provide proper due process for both accuser and accused.
