Sounds like a great kid. While he must have been a “Plan B” athletically, he seems like a “Plan A” academically. We had our eye on him for a few months and sounds like he could have been under the radar for a couple reasons due to injury, not attending camps and smaller school. The family member NU alums and his parents being educators surely helped.
I bet Rice was steamed that he got the text during a visit there. Welcome, Jason. Looking forward to seeing him play.
It was a sticky situation for sure. But Reynolds is playing the long grain by coming to NU.

What about the CB who decided not to sign in the early period, but was still considering NU?
If you mean safety instead of cornerback, he committed to Florida quite a while ago and is not even a pleasant memory
He may have spoken to a former NU linebacker that knows Texas well... so if he was even slightly considering Rice Paddy steered him away from that swamp
