Here we go again. Drew Barker was one of the highest rated high school quarterbacks in his class. Steve Spurrier wanted him in the worst way. Yet, because he didn't look like Joe Namath his first couple games, our learned fan base blows him off as a failure. Once again, the backup quarterback is everyone's favorite. Insanity, pure insanity.I think he can win the job too. He didn't come clear across the country to sit behind someone who may not be his equal.

I agree.. may the best player play.He better think he can win the job. No use coming if you don't plan to play. Good to see him for the first time.
Actually, Kentucky fans have been forced to watch a crap load of terrible starting QB play. Especially since Woodson left.Kentucky fans love backup QBs.

Read somewhere he is eating 10 times a day working to get to 195 by next seasonHe will be more than 180# come fall camp, count on it.

Loving the backup is the result of this reality. It's born from the thought that the backup couldn't possibly be more terrible than the pitiful performance we are forced to witness over and over and over again.
I agree....Also, Johnson could not win his job back after injury at Grambling St. But he is going to come in here next year and light it up, interesting.
