Memphis lost pretty bad to ECU. Is Pastner on the way out?

ECU also beat Cinci at home and nearly beat us. They are playing well right now.

Memphis lost Austin Nichols for 2 weeks on Sat as well.

Nichols is there only post threat on offense. Goodwin is pretty bad on offense. Pastner is a tough call because players love him but you can sense boosters and fans getting restless with the lack of postseason success

Recruits love him but he has had lots of player disputes with 6 or 7 suspensions. Fans are bailing out and heading to the Grizz games.

Some Memphis fan posted in another thread that he get 2+Million/year and had a contract that goes out 5 or so years. He also mentioned his record in the tourney. I think it is way too early to call for his head.

He is getting the Wojcik "mired in mediocrity" thing going. John Phillips went to two NCAA tournaments as well. Pastner still had some "Cal" players for the first two or three years too. Now it appears his 4 and 5 star recruits have not been coached to their potential.

Must be some great x and o assistants out there who lack great recruiting skill but who would complement a guy like Pastner. Problem with a lot of HC is hubris, feeling they have all the answers.
