Memphis and Houston are the hottest teams now. Watch for Memphis' all american recruiting to win this. Much better players on paper but Josh is coaching. Lunardi still slobbering over how good Temple is.

I don't know about Memphis being a favorite if Nichols were playing. There was a reason why they finished 5th in conference even with Nichols around most of the season. Their guard play just isn't consistent or good enough to know what is going to happen from game to game.

Memphis' offense reminds me of an NBA team without the efficiency or effectiveness because the talent just isn't there to run that type of offense. Honestly it reminds me of the Thunder without the talent. There are more teams when the Thunder don't move the ball effectively to create open shots and instead relies on a single person to beat their defender one on one. I see that a lot with Memphis...whether or not that is by design I have no idea. I like Temple's ball movement much better, they just don't have the offensive talent to create the efficiency they should have.

Who is the lady color person on this broadcast who tried to say why Temple was much better than TU and compared them ever way in the world except head to head which is the only true comparison of football, baseball or race horses.

Doris Burke knows basketball. She is putting her spin on the info in front of her. Elmore and Patrick have different opinions. It's all good. We need to take care of business on the court. Body of work is what she was referring to and it's hard to argue the loss to ORU. It is killing us right now. Just had a student in my office who covers ORU for the Oracle (campus newspaper) and he said the flames and steam coming from Haith's ears at the post game press conference when Dre mentioned that maybe TU didn't take the game as seriously as they should have. If TU misses an at-large bid it will be because of that game and maybe players will take the game seriously moving forward.

Memphis is lost right now and Cummings is starting to take this game over.

As for Steed...if he's officiating this game it means we won't have him for our game.

But that puts Steed possibly with us if we advance. 3 minutes to go and I'm still not sure which team I want to win. Of course that doesn't matter. 😮

I cannot stand Doris. She was on an inexplicable tangent trying to explain the euro step yesterday in between more disparaging remarks about TU. She changes the argument every time she talks about it, and this is the third or fourth time she's done in the last few days.

The first one was basically because Lunardi is smarter than everyone.

It's easy to disagree with anyone's take on who's in/out. Basketball -wise I think Doris Burke knows what she is talking about.

Steed just made a terrible call against Memphis assuming a foul was coming when the Memphis player backed off the play after a scramble for a loose ball. Basically gave Temple a 3 pt lead with under a minute left.

SMU should not have lost to a bad Houston team in the AAC tournament. They win that game they get in. If we win tonight we are closer to in. If we lose we will be hosting an NIT game next Tuesday or Wednesday.

So Temple wins and we have 2 double digit victories over a team "in the field" right now. That should be worth something right?

Without Austin Nichols, Pookie Powell, and Chris Hawkins...we were not going to win the AAC Tourney...tough to win 3 games in 3 days with only 7 kids.

key to next season will be keeping Austin Nichols, Shaq Goodwin, and Nick King together while integrating the Lawson's...

Good luck today.

Lol Pookie Powell, King, and Hawkins are transferring this off season. There will be no playing time for King and Hawkins with the Lawson's coming and Powell is gone because he thinks he should start. The staff already has a PG better than Powell in their sights on the recruiting trail to help relieve Kedren.
