Just installed the 8000 sq ft Netgear Orbi router in our house...it’s a game changer! Lightning fast and we have WiFi everywhere. Technology is amazing! Mesh routers are a big leap forward

I wasn’t trying to commercialize or commerrate anything...certainly not looking to get venerial, but I will act as my own executioner given a chance. Just saying I got kick *** WiFi...as I’m sure all paddocking folks do.

So is it 'commerrate' or 'commerate?'

If you wanna make up a new word, you should at least be consistent with how you spell it. Otherwise there's no way it will make it into the dictionary next year.

I think 'commerate' is the way to go with this one.

No need for a mesh router here. I'm old school, hardwired with an ethernet cable to my laptop. Fast and no way for any of my hundred computer science nerd neighbors to steal wifi from me.

Just go to www.com and get one with the money your mom gave you to pay for your sarcasm lessons...those are a waste of funds

I'm not one to just go looking for a handout but if you've got that mesh there could be some money for it.

A little more complex than that. Mesh does create a problem of bleeding coverage. What's nice about the mesh coverage is also nice for hackers.

It's not so much the type of neighborhood, it's the proximity to other houses and a road. I was cracking Weps from my back porch, off a dual-core laptop, in only a few hours (back in 2013). WPA2 isn't that much more difficult with a higher powered machine, although I haven't tried lately.

A common misconception is that password complexity is most important. Not so, password length is the biggest factor. Every additional character raises the possible password combinations exponentially. Assuming a character set of 96 (upper lower number and symbol), A two character pw has 9216 combinations. A three character password has 883736. When you start getting to 12+ character passwords, it becomes very tough to crack in a given time frame.

You're proud of that?

Certainly. It helped me become an engineer. I never did much with cracked wifis.. I would use them to cover me before I got my own connection from an ISP, but that's about it.
