Is there anyone better than Corey Taylor?

Found myself browsing youtube for stuff I hadn't listened to before and came upon Mushroom Head - Solitaire Unraveling...can't stop listening to it!

Sucks that Mudvayne called it quits. Not quite feeling HELLYEAH.

I got tickets for Slipnot and Manson in July. $90 a ticket. Last time I tell someone that I will go before I find out the ticket price.

Concerts aren't worth $100 unless they are a weekend festival.

My wife is a MM fan. Not me. haha

I saw Slipknot last year. Puts on a good energy show.

I like MM especially the newer stuff (past 10 years or so), just not into his theatrics as much.

I wasn't much of a fan of Slipknot when they first came out, but now I'm listening to them and have listened to some stuff Taylor has done with Stone Sour and other projects...just amazes me.

I'm a thrasher at heart, and while at first Slipknot was a little too Nu Metal for me, there's no denying Taylor's talent. Don't get wrong, I like a good 20 or so Slipknot tunes, they're just not a favorite of mine but certainly better than most of the bands of their era. Stone Sour isn't really my bag, but it shows Taylor's versatility as a vocalist.

Speaking of Carcass, Ghost, I'm really bummed I can't see them on their tour with Testament (one of the most underrated metal bands in history) and Slayer.

Good to know I'm not the only metal fan around here. I can dig most styles. I'm not too big on the cookie monster growls, but if the riff is strong enough and the rhythm section is tight, I can overlook the vocals.

Couldn't agree with you more. I want to really like Slipknot, but they are just missing something. There are a handful of songs that I really like and can listen to on a regular basis, but for the most part I can take them or leave them.
Now Corey Taylor, that's a different story. He is probably if not absolutely the best front-man in the music industry today. His vocal range is unbelievable and his stage presence along with his command of an audience...just amazing. Heard of bit of Stone Sour and it's a little lite for me. He did a song with Apocalyptica that was REALLY good.
The more I listen to Mushroomhead the more I am liking them, which is odd for me. I usually listen to something once and if it grabs me I keep going, and if not I don't listen again. Something about them got just enough of my interest to keep me listening. I'm not sure if it's the unique vocals or the heavy bass and rhythm.
