I saw that meth lab busts are trending down and not by a little. Read that they were projecting 150 this year with is awesome considering where they were 4-5 years ago. For those of you that live OK is meth use also trending downward from what you see or are the cops just not catching them because they are getting better at hiding them?

Well, I know Tulsa County was awful around 2013. Something like 900+ labs busted in that county alone. So moving to projecting around 150 state wide is a massive improvement. I was just wondering if use is also trending downward.

Walter White taught the Mexicans how to cook and it's all coming over the border now. Still a large problem in southern OK

I practice medicine in a town of 16,000 people. At least two of my patients a week test positive for methamphetamine and that is excluding the ones who "can't pee" and never come back.

That is unfortunate. Blows my mind that anyone wants to do that stuff.

What about heroin? That's what's tearing trough small towns in a lot of the Midwest. Some towns in Indiana have needle exchanges.

According to a friend in the FBI office in OKC, both heroine and meth use are still trending way up in OK.

Cheap high quality meth is pouring across the boarder just like heroin. Making it locally is not practical and the quality is low.

Anyone who would touch any of that **** is a moron. You can spot the idiots from mile away they look horrible and act like psychopaths.

We always say they are eating "air biscuits". They can't stop moving their mouth and they don't even realize they do it.

60 Minutes had a piece that made the case that heroin has been subbed for pain pills, by people who originally got hooked on pain pills. Apparently, the heroin is easier to get.. Interesting premise, I wonder if that effect accounts for the rise in Oklahoma.

Do you think the changes in perceived risk with marijuana use over the last 5-10 years has any correlation to the rise in other drug use over the same period?

Only as it correlates to states selling lottery tickets on every corner and Indian gaming on every other.

Just wait til you can purchase wine in grocery stores and ensuing Armageddon.

Meth will turn you into Beavis. So I just stick to huffing spray paint. Gold is the best.

I'm not really sure but when I was growing up there were a lot of Hispanics walking around my town with gold faces. The local Napa had to lock up the spray paint.

When I was in junior high, a high schoolers mom found a sock in the shed full of spray paint. He couldn't come up with an explanation on the spot so he confessed. It was a big deal so then we had the DARE drug training at school. They came in and showed us videos of people huffing paint. None of us even knew that was a thing so of course we all tried it. Our drug education in this country is the best.
