I figured we'd be big underdogs, but I'm pretty surprised at that line. You can see the reasoning for it by looking at the rushing stats; the Nebraska game wasn't that long ago.
I'm not going to bet it - I never bet on NU games. But my guess is that the defensive improvement after the bye week is at least somewhat legit.

i think we lack the physicality this year in the front 7. last year you had 2 big physical LBs in their that are now replaced by some smaller guys. I think we might hang in for awhile but I do worry that it'll be tough not to get worn down.
Gallagher is just as big as his brother and probably bigger. McIntyre is probably about 10 lbs lighter than Fisher. Not much of a difference.
To my untrained eye, Gallagher really upped his game last week. I had barely noticed him in prior games.
We havent faced a team as talented as Michigan. It could be 55-10. However, if I was betting Id take the cats +23.

Cats won't go down without a fight in this one. If Fitz did indeed correct and undo the disastrous defensive modifications that O'Neil put in, then we have a chance to stun the Blue and Dazed.
This is the only time I've seen anyone say McIntyre is close to Fisher in...anything. weight notwithstanding, McIntyre is a precipitous drop off by any standard..
We can scratch or heads but the fact is we played one good game vs a mediocre team that hasn't won a B1G game. Our defense made a gigantic step forward, but we are 3 weeks removed from a Dark Ages level performance.
I hate that we have to play Michigan right now. I don't think we're ready and I think scUM covers.
