I hope bama now gets clobbered by georgia and knocked out of playoff. Get cincy and mich in. We need new teams in the playoff. No more bama, osu, clemson nd malarchy every year. I might actually get excited to watch playoff games even though nu has never played in it.

This is a really good Notre Dame team. Including 24-0 at the half against Stanford today, they have outscored their opponents 141-9 in November.

Wisconsin is their only quality win, but their only loss is Cincinnati.

Michigan-Georgia-Cincy-ND would be a fun and weird field.

Actually, this has been one strange CF season. Totally unpredictable. The four teams that have dominated the playoffs over the last few years - Alabama, Clemson, OSU and Oklahoma - could all be shut out this year especially if Georgia beats Alabama as expected. In fact, Alabama, Clemson, OSU and Oklahoma were all rated in most of the top 5 preseason polls.

If it comes down to ND or OK St for the final slot (assuming the Cowboys beat Baylor next week), OKST has a better resume with wins over OU and Baylor (2x).

And that win is not looking like much quality now

I think that UM had a great game plan for OSU and OSU was not able to make adjustments for it. I suspect OSU took the game for granted.

Huge W for Harbaugh - accomplished at last what he was hired to do. I dislike the guy and was hoping he would never beat duh-OSU, but he has shown again that he can coach and he can recruit. Knows to hire outstanding assistants, too.

I think that was the key to the OSU - Michigan game. Big difference between the OSU and Michigan staff. Day has a bunch of duds on defense

Hard to picture us going into halftime at Mich 10-7 with actual hope of competing in that game just a few weeks ago!

Some have used Michigan's win to justify NU's offensive philosophy. If anyone watched OSU this year, it was clear that they had problems with their front 7. Harbaugh recognized this and his game plan was perfect to beat the Buckeyes. He had the OL to implement the plan and he shoved the ball down their throat. NU tries to do this but does not have the ability to do so.

ND might have had the easiest schedule in the country. Arguably, their only decent wins on the season were against Wisconsin and maybe Pitt. Cincy handled them quite easily by double digits. And, of course, they don't have to play one of those bothersome conference championship games. Let's send the Irish to a New Years 6 game against somebody good.

How about dOSU?

Credit to Michigan on a huge rivalry win over the Deathstar. Now they just have to take care of business against Iowa.

One of my takeaways from OSU and Mich runs pretty much counter to most. I was amazed at how OSU's receivers could get space pretty much at will and that their QB could put the ball spot-on. Although I may have it wrong, their receivers are more about quick and skilled than big. Their running offense was exposed a little by Michigan but on most days their offense would be almost unstoppable.

The top 4 receivers at OSU are probably all NFL players. Certainly Olave, Smith, and Wilson.

Michigan owned the LOS that day. OSU could not stop the run. UM put together long, pounding drives. That’s how you neutralize an offense like OSU.
