Michigan is really good!! They can beat you off the dribble and Dickinson is dominant inside. Wagner is tough to defend

Best team in B1G that I have seen so far

It will be even sweeter when we take them down this weekend.

I was encouraged when they allowed 44 to MD in the first half. As I believe our offense has been overrated on this board. And we still struggle to score consistently.

But then they allowed 29 in the 2nd

I have only watched Michigan play two games this season, including last night's game. I like them as the best team in the Big Ten 2020-21. Fun to watch and solid. And they will be getting much better from here.

Wagner might be better than his big brother.......

Michigan will be a handfull. But I think we match up with them well. They are just as good or better than iowa. We will need a close to flawless game to beat them. Maryland gave them a pain in the *** last night and it was still almost a blowout. Got closer near the end. But it seemed like Mich never was out of the control towers

Maryland does not have a typical Maryland team this season. They might end up one of the bottom four teams in the B1G.
Bottom four in the Big Ten is often still better than the majority of teams throughout the country. That's what makes it so much fun to watch, almost regardless of who's playing. I love this conference.

Can't wait to see Nance match up with Mich frosh stud center! Similar players and size/strength/athleticism. Wow- they both are studs and budding stars for each team. Hope we give M their first loss

Hello Northwestern, Michigan fan here (Ignore the profile pic, that's from undergrad). Northwestern has been the craziest thing I've seen this year. I've watched every big ten game you've played and was like "whoa, they're legit." I've rooted for you guys in most games since the tourney year due to the story and am just so glad that you're having a good year. Can't wait for the game tomorrow, good luck!

Side Note: You might remember that Pete Nance was down to Michigan and NW and chose Northwestern. There's a story to watch.

Similar players????? Dickinson is a 7’1” behemoth that has not made a FG from beyond about 8 feet this season. He had a decent jumper in HS but has barely even attempted so far. He makes hay by being bigger and stronger than opponents and finishing with a soft touch.

Nance is much smaller and quicker and more of a threat off the dribble or shooting from the perimeter.

Come on now, don’t make me like Michigan with your classy post.

I’ve not liked Michigan since I lived in Ann Arbor 3 years. Though it’s a wonderfully cute and charming town, I’d have enjoyed it more if people stopped telling me all the reasons why I should love it.

He’s really quick for 7’1”. He’s a player.

This game might just be Michigan’s toughest test to date. They haven’t had an easy schedule but certainly haven’t played any world beaters as of yet. Looks like we will be the highest ranked opponent they have played so far. Oakland took them to OT and theyre 3-10 in the horizon league. We will rightly not be favored but this is a winnable road game and one which would really make a statement.

you might have missed that I am a Michigan fan. I have seen plenty of Dickinson. Nance physically compares to Franz Wagner, Michigan's small forward in terms of height/weight/quickness far more than he compares to Dickinson.

Bottom four in the B1G is often better than many others, but that doesn't get you into the NCAA tourney. If any program knows that, it's Northwestern.

Michigan has had the easiest schedule of any BIG team. They’ve beaten the bottom 3 teams in the league and have played no one of significance outside of conference. That said, I suspect they are still awfully good.

Their schedule has been soft but UM is very good. #10 on Kenpom, and Vegas has them as 8.5 pt favorites.

They’re pretty balanced and don’t have any glaring holes.

This game will be a good test for us. We slugged it out with Iowa until Bohannon went Buie on us (the MSU version). I think we're a very good team and feel we can grab the win tonight.
