This is awesome! But isn't midknight madness supposed to start at, well, midnight?

Years ago a team couldn't start practice until a certain date (like October 15) or the weekend closest to that. Teams would start at midnight. The last few years many teams have started at all different times as practice now starts about two weeks earlier.

First official day of practice is at the end of September...

I always had fun at these events. I know practices would have started already, but it's still a great way to get the fans excited for the new season....
