Over the years, @Midnighter has had many excellent travel recommendations. One of those recommendations from years ago was the restaurant Le Coupe-Chou in Paris.

I was finally able to go there last night with my family, and it was an absolutely great dining experience. The food and wine were wonderful, and the restaurant itself was in a very interesting and pleasant building located in a beautiful part of town near the Sorbonne.

Many thanks for the great recommendation, Midnighter!

Nice!! Special restaurant for us as it is where I proposed (table next to the fireplace on the first floor). I believe it is family owned/operated and agree - great dining experience and such a unique building. Very jealous of you though we’re heading back to Paris this summer. Hopefully we can get dinner there too. Did you get the oeuf en cocotte?? Would be part of my last meal if given a chance…

No none of us had that one. We started with the escargot, and then for entrees I got the drum (which was outstanding) my wife got duck, and my daughter got a beef dish. We shared a crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was delicious!

Birch beer? In FLA? Sign me the eff up....
Not only that. Birch beer floats. DD is the best. Don't go during dinner time this time of year or expect an hour wait. Great place to hop up to after the beach or sea turtles come late May. Inland, by the tracks on A1A just north of Indiantown on the east side.
