Ryan Cochran-Siegle got a second place finish at the Birds of Prey downhill in Beaver Creek and River Radamus finished 6th on the GS.

George Steffey and Ryder Sarchett scored world cup points in the GS.

Overall a good performance from the men's team.

My wife worked the race this is a pic of her with Ted Ligety.

I was there for these races. She’s just getting back to form from the GS crash last year. Had some PTSD to work thru. She’s almost there.

she was walking thru a roped off line with a sharpie to get to the stage on Sat night. I didn’t plan on actually meeting anyone, so other than having her sign my girlfriend, which didn’t seem sporting, the only other thing I had was my can of beer. So I am now in possession of a beer with Mikaela’s sig on it. Lol.

Here's the Vail Daily story which has a few quotes. Congrats to her. I didn't think she had a prayer with this comeback. She should give the medal to the doctors at Steadman.

Here's the local papers story. She's not just winning slalom races, she's destroying the opposition. Averaging wins by 1.5 seconds in slalom is incredible.

And rounding into form on Giant Slalom. Her first Super G in ages a few days back she was coming thru clean and composed and then missed the last gate. Good start. Let’s see what happens on Sunday.

Impressive stuff (from both US women skiers)! I'm a much more casual fan than most that posted above, but love this sport (especially downhill) and these badass women who put themselves out there is these exciting and dangerous competitions.

Prior to the last winter Olympics NBC televised all these events on a special Olympic channel (all kinds of Olympic sports). Super coverage and I especially enjoyed the women's skiing (and track & field). Sadly I can't find it this year. NBC probably moved it to Peacock (and I don't/won't subscribe). Anyone know if NBC still has the Olympic channel?

Every race is available either on NBC, Peacock or Skiandsnowboard.com. So….subscriptions mostly.

Semmering GS was brutal today. Hard to keep contact thru many of the turns. Every skier looked wicked uncomfortable. Mikaela was 9th after run 1 and pulled back to 6th. US’s Paula Moltzan was smoking and then flew off a turn, caught the inside ski and landed hard.
Slalom Tomorrow.

That first run was an absolute rock fight. Half of the entrants could not finish.

The second run was faster and Mikeala was a rocket. Cami Rast had a half second lead from run 1 and she just could not hold it. Finishes 2nd .09 behind Shriffin!!
