Heard on the radio espn removed as a commentator from it's Sunday show because of comments he made about politics. Anybody hear this?

i was driving home from work when the eagles had tebow in camp and put on local sports radio in time to catch ditka screaming at the hosts that "tebow was good for the eagles, good for our sport, and good for america"

so i'm sure he deserves it

He got let go-(role reduced) because he is awful...ESPN can let go of Cris-(Fall Guy) Carter as well...they already got rid of Keyshawn Johnson and replaced him with Future 1st Ballot Hall of Famer Charles Woodson.

On a side note...Woodson and Peyton Manning going into to the Pro Football Hall of Fame likely together is fitting.

Is it not so that he was let go because he said he supports Trump and thinksee BO is a horrible president...since when should your 1st amendment rights get you fired especially when part of it is true?

Ditka gives grumpy old farts a bad name. Been sick of him for years.

Met him years ago at a convention where I work, what a *** !!!!!!!,No one was listening to him and he got upset threw down the Mic and walked out saying something as he did. He forgot though that he was being paid and sheepishly came back. He really did think he was bigger than he was.

Ya I remember that Heisman race. I know a ton of people from Tennessee were saying that Manning got robbed on it.

Well, they are wrong, no doubt Manning has been an all timer in the NFL . . . but so has Woodson. It is just unfortunate that they both had fantastic years in 1997. It happens, and someone has to lose. It is not like some turd like Gino Torretta beat him out.

Woodson and Manning ended up being All Time Greats...Both Super Bowl Champions and both pretty much locks for the Hall of Fame

I'm as conservative as they come and am not happy if someone were let go b/c they disagreed politically with the higher ups, but it's SUCH a mistake when people use situations like this to say someone's "FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS" should kick in when someone gets reprimanded for their personal beliefs on their job.

It WOULD be a violation of his rights if the government ARRESTED him for his beliefs or comments.

You can't say whatever you want when someone is paying you to talk. Maybe they were upset he was talking politics instead of sports.

I'm all for him being reprimanded. I don't want to hear politics when watching a sports show.

Ditka's political comments may have been a factor in his leaving the network, it's OK to point that out, but don't let that degrade into a political argument over the rightness or wrongness of his comments. We have political thread for those types of discussions.
