QB coach and WR coach at Charlotte. Hopes Stoops is considering some good options. I don’t have much faith in him. He doesn’t have another brother looking for a job does he? We know what will happen there.

This is absolutely correct and your observation is incredibly astute. Let’s consider this further.

If CMS has another brother looking for a job, as you conclude he will obviously hire him. So in such scenario that a Stoops brother is looking for employment, he will certainly be our next offensive coordinator.

The only question that seems to be on the table is - is Bob Stoops looking for work?

He wasn't "gone" from here, anyway. So, we won't need to replace him.

Are some of y'all so ignorant of CFB to not know there are 2 diff Hartlines coaching? And that no freaking body should want UK to hire Mike as OC?
Add to that, that if Mike Hartline were wanted by us, we could likely “steal” him from a G5 program, by tripling his salary.

And the “speculation” that Bob Stoops might become OC, even if in jest, misses so badly so as to not even be funny.

I assume the poster has no idea that he became prominent as DC under Spurrier at Florida, before coaching at Oklahoma.

Right, MIKE is just getting his coaching career underway. He was an OC at a small school in '21. He started '22 as an offensive analyst at Auburn, an off-field job, then was promoted to QB coach by the interim coach after the HC was fired. Now he's moving on to Charlotte as passing game coordinator/WR coach. Let's let the guy build his resume and get some coaching/recruiting experience before we start slinging snot at UK for not hiring him.

Well, Bob is coaching in the XFL. But if he was out looking for a job, we could do worse.

My favorite part of this is the idea that someone was going to be the position coach for the QBs and WRs.

Bob was also a defensive guy, but in contrast to Mark he hired Lincoln Riley , got out of his way , and the rest is history.

BRIAN Hartline has repeatedly said he has turned down offensive coordinator jobs. Because BRIAN has his dream job, coaching the position he played in college for his alma mater. And BRIAN already made millions in the NFL.

BRIAN. only talk about BRIAN, talking about UK hiring his brother Mike makes you look stupid.

You wouldn’t understand him either. My post was a statement that Mike would not be available just in case people were following which in this case, many people on this board are. It was a simple statement, no more no less. Sorry you are ignorant.

Nobody ever suggested Mike as a OC.....period. You just were itching to post something negative, had no clue what you were talking about, but spouted off anyway.

I'm mad because we also lost Jay Gruden to the NFL as a lowly consultant. Everyone knows Jay was great analyst on ESPN, coached an NFL Super Bowl champion, and has expressed interest in getting back into the college game. Jay got railroaded by Goodell. Jay would crawl on his hands and knees to be our OC. But ... Stoops lost him when Jay took that consultant job!

Well he was defensive coordinator at Florida. But what the hell, I don’t care. Get him on staff in any damn position you can.
