There is a few Twitter comments floating around stating that he has been moved to a hospice type setting and that he’s unresponsive. If true this is extremely sad news.

The 61-year-old football coach had a massive heart attack at his home and did not receive medical attention for between 10-15 minutes, according to the outlet. Medical personnel who arrived reportedly used a defibrillator machine and shocked his heart back to normal rhythm.
Sources told the paper the situation is "dire," and the coach may have suffered seizures and potential brain damage due to the incident.

Anoxic brain injury most likely with that story.

I met the "Pirate" in Greenville NC when he was a color guy for Fox. He was just sitting at the bar in the Hilton having a few. He really is a smart guy. Funny too.

This is heartbreaking on so many levels. I really wanted him to be the coach of West Virginia post Dana. I always felt it would be an amazing press conference with him and Bob Huggins just sitting there answering questions. I always felt the state would embrace this guy because he had such a unusual authentic approach.
