I noticed in one article about the New Mexico rumors Miles mentioned that is glad he is no longer on social media. I guess being an extroverted comedian is no longer fun when your audience is booing.

I am a technology dinosaur, but not necessarily the get off my lawn guy. I personally don't do the twitter thing for various reasons, including knowing I would type something stupid at some point that would put my current situation in jeopardy. But I do know it has its positives that some people can benefit quite a bit from, mostly in terms of speed of information. However, Twitter giving a platform to every idiot who wants one is what really sucks about it.

You are 100% right that cell phones should be left out of schools, but there is no real way to entirely manage that situation.

Cells phones and things like Twitter only have value if you are interested in communicating with other humans. Beyond that, they are totally useless.

I read dozens of great articles a week because of twitter, or because of who I follow on twitter. I am outside the stereotype I guess....... Articles on science, sports, local newspapers, and higher education make up the majority of the articles I click. I try to avoid politics and blogs. There may be some yoga being done on twitter as well.

It's just like anything else.....there are pros and cons.

If I was a major D1 athlete I would likely not have an account and if I did it would rarely be used and never for anything related to me or my team.
