Are their football coaches actually any good? Or do they just win because of all the superior talent?

Are the players being developed into better players? Or are they just racking up meaningless stats against overpowered teams while not actually improving themselves?

Probably a little of both, but I like that this kid is "all in" on the Huskers. He's a better fit at QB for Nebraksa in the B10 and I am really looking forward to what he can accomplish here.

All while lazy opposing coaches just sit on each others dicks, and complain about winners. Their players deserve better than that.

So what if another school, like Omaha South for instance, loaded up on Iowa recruits. Who would win between Millard South and Omaha South?

and then who would win when these players met up again in a Nebraska-Iowa game four years later?

Man, I saw Omaha South practicing a few years ago. It was sad, they had about 25 kids out for a class A team.

They have some really good coaches, some good coaches, and some that are about average...basically a mix like most good Class A teams.

Their DL coach is probably the best in the state.

I know some folks....oh...8 years ago? 10 years ago? Not sure on the timeline, set about to create a youth feeder program into millard south for football that was robust and successful. Do they go by Southboyz? Something like that, anyway, they certainly succeeded in their mission. I think it was some old south players who now have kids on the team...don't quote me on that though. I'm certainly sketchy on the details.

402 Boyz is the current name of the program.. Not sure if it's always been that or not though

Could be, but there are tons of feeder programs for high schools though.

A friend of mine is an official. He said that some of those bad metro teams would struggle in Class C-2. It's a sad state of affairs. The best athletes get recruited away. The remaining guys have a choice to make-- go out for the team and get killed & embarrassed? Or just don't go out? So a lot of them don't go out. The younger players who do go out for the team eventually transfer out once they show some potential and get recruited away.

They don't even need to get recruited. They probably look to leave on their own accord.

Same thing in baseball. Literally some of the worst teams in the state are Omaha Class A teams.

This is good in my opinion. Play the top schools in Nebraska (not the Lincoln High, North Platte or Omaha Benson's of the state) + a couple of out-of-state games.

I would question how much individual players improve by playing competition less than the scout team. It’s one of the reasons I doubt Thomalia lives up to Bama’s expectations.
