Guys, we landed a top 50 player and one of the best WR's in the nation yesterday. Our coaches totally get it, our program is trending up, and the future looks bright.

It's been a LONG time since I've been able to think that way about Nebraska football. It feels GREAT!

I'm thinking we go 7-5 or 8-4 next year as the rebuilding and retooling sets in. Thing is, that's completely fine. I see this team being a monster in 2018, and it is going to have to be, as we have one of the toughest schedules in the country at that point.

It's simple, if you don't see the difference in recruiting from HCMR's staff and the previous, then your not a Husker fan. Future is very bright and looks to be pretty soon as well. GBR

With Tanner Lee slinging it I think we win 9-10 with 2018 being the year the defense finds itself.

i look forward when we can celebrate the incoming players without immediately talking about the old staff

I'm with you, but I think it'll happen once we finish in the top ten (in the polls, not the recruiting rankings.) I think that day is coming if we stay the course, but it requires some patience. Until then, I suspect every good thing and bad thing will be used by the different factions in the fan base as evidence in support of their respective positions.

I was on RSS.

How's life been treating you... hopefully well?

Life has been tough for me, as of late. Trying to keep a positive attitude. I'm not sure why you are not hanging out on the free board, but you are missed. This place can get negative at times. We need all types to even it out.

Hopefully life will look kindly on you boxes.

I said a little prayer for you and your family.

A little good news. Took wife to Houston for her four month checkup at M.D. Anderson. Her cancer is stable. She's been on chemo for over a year. They can no longer detect the tumor in her lungs. The tumors in her liver and stomach remain unchanged. But she's stable. That is, the cancer is not spreading and growing. For now, she'll remain on the chemo as a maintenance. I convinced the doc to lower her level of the drug to see if we can improve her quality of life while we monitor her closely.

Sometimes keeping it in check is the best option. Give your lady a big hug and I'll say a prayer for her continued healing.
