Regardless of where one sides on an issue (not just this, but literally anything), this is why things that don’t need an immediate 911 style response shouldn’t be voted/decided on in such haste after such an emotionally charged event.
Rational, non-wacko leftist people don’t need time to know that defunding the police was a stupid idea.

Liberals are driven and ruled by dumb ideas and emotions. They throw tantrums and lose their **** about everything. Only when their poor decisions affect their personal comfort and security do they stumble back from their insanity. It’s a mental disease, really.

You continue to be an absolute whack job and legitimately scary individual.

You’re not at all rational. And I’m not a liberal.
You could literally replace “liberals” with blacks or Jews in your post and it is the same extreme fascist rhetoric that whack jobs like you use to “other” people.
So now I'm a racist and a fascist? Typical response when you have no argument.

For some things, like defunding the police, a rational person doesn't need time to consider whether it's a good idea. It's just what you inherently know. Assuming you're not a nutjob to begin with.

The biggest transfer of military equipment and funding to police departments nationwide came under Obama.

I support alternative solutions to over policing communities, obvious systemic problems of police brutality and the militarization of police departments. You just want to create scary boogeyman so you can justify your itchy trigger finger and your horrid right wing, whack job view points that you have expressed over and over and over again on this board.

I'm not opposed to reviewing procedures and making constructive changes. That's always a good process to have in place.

Jesus Christ, I don't need to "create a scary boogeyman". Leftists, in their emotion driven idiocy, have been and continue to do that in these protes.. RIOTS!

They really thought that idea through didn't they? They should have talked to their constituents about going along with it and stopping crime and maybe it just might have worked. In the real world though, that's not how things work. Criminals will be worse criminals if not kept in check and all the defund the police idiots were stupid to think this had any chance for success.

Most things aren't called in as 911. You only think so because of the squeaky wheel response and most of them are as we find out are not the cops fault.

Knee jerk poor me/us BS. Most of the ones complaining want a better life but don't want to work for it so, blame the man.

False again. Police brutality is not the problem, ignorance and noncompliance with the law is.

Also, why don't you go out there with your alternate ideas and stop these animals from looting, beating up on people, destroying businesses, and firebombing/shooting at police vehicles. Nope, I say give them armored up vehicles and start kicking these animals asses.

How long did it take the Seattle mayor and city council to realize that the CHAZ/CHOP "Summer of Love" takeover of downtown was maybe not a good idea?

I think 2 people were murdered in the so-called "autonomous zone" before the rainbows and lollipops utopia visions started to clear from these idiots minds. That is liberal "thinking". And there are endless examples of this sickness.

Who the Hell wants these irrational nutjobs in charge of anything, much less a city, state, or country?

Yet that's the modern political movement. Some info comes out (almost always wrong or incomplete) followed by a push CHOOSE A SIDE.

Anytime someone is pressuring you to make a decision right that second, that's a great sign you need to either wait or take another look.

The people who thought defunding the police is the answer - and really thought about it and expected it to work - are the same people who think that they can solve education reform. It’s a bunch of clowns who don’t understand the complexity in the system.

You could go a LONG way in fixing both by cutting back the power of unions. Funny that the ones who defend unions are the same ones bitching about systemic inequalities.

They refuse to wise up.
