I just looked forward at the schedule and three of NU's four remaining opponents play Minny the game before NU. The doesn't seem like an advantage to NU. Does it matter?

Minny is starting to get healthy. Maybe they can surprise one or more of them ALA Nebraska

Would kinda rather that didn’t happen. Minny SUCKS, that would be a big extra motivator.
Of course they have this year. That said they have had a lot of injuries that hurt them. Why would we not want them knocking off our opponents? We are done playing them till at least BTT if they would make it far enough

Illinois , our next opponent, has three games in five days! Ouch!
I noticed that NU has an extra day between games. Of course Nu has to travel but Urbana isn't a big trip.
Do they go the day before and spend the night?
Second question. I think the football team stays in a hotel the night before games, even home games. Does BB follow that same pattern.

I don't know the answer, but going the day before makes a huge difference in how your body feels the day of the game.

Unless there's a dispensary nearby, then you might get 5 players suspended for the game.

A friend of mine was the head athletic trainer at a couple of DIV one schools and said that they put the football team up the night before a game to make the pregame narrative consistent and make sure guys are in by curfew the night before. I never asked about BB.

I remember one time Carmody tried to fly the team to Ann Arbor the day of a big game but a snow storm derailed that and they had to land somewhere and go the rest of the way by bus.

Or a hobby shop across the street from the motel.

According to past NU coaches, visiting a hobby shop can cause 69-0 blowouts, regardless of the fact that the player played OK and made some nice stops for short gains that day.

That player (#70, I believe) told me that some of his best stops that day were finding and pointing out several altered fake items in the shop to other customers, much to the consternation of the owner.

Yes, they'll bus there tomorrow and spend the night. They do not stay in a hotel the night before home games.
