Cats need a win in Minneapolis to have a shot at the post-seaon, most likely the NIT. A win restores some confidence and eliminates the comparisons with last season, when NU won the Big 10 opener and then lost 10 straight. Wisky will be tough next week. PSU should be a W now that Ed DeChellis is at Navy but you never know. Then NU has a brutal stretch: @MD, @Indiana, MSU, and @Iowa. Those are likely all L's. So NU just can't let any more games in which they are favored slip away this early in the conference schedule. Worst case scenario is a loss at Minny as shooting woes continue, a loss against defensive-minded Wisky and then the rough stretch to start 2-8, and you can pretty much kiss off the NIT.
