That's twice he's left MSU, went to Texas a few years ago.

LSU's DC, Kevin Steele, went to Auburn and LSU hire highly regarded Dave Aranda from Wisconsin.

Can someone explain some of these moves to me? This doesn't even seem like a lateral move to me, it's a step down.

Coaching with Richt is probably a good experience. Guy also make these moves to gain experience for chances at HC jobs.

Not sure about odd, but Diaz looks sleazy. Left State for Tejas, fell flat on his face, Mullin brings him back and he bolts after just 1 season? Ethically questionable even for the hop scotch nature of cfb coaches.

Rumor is Jancek, their DC, is leaving UT because his wife hates Knoxville and going to Colorado State to join our ex OC Mike Bobo. Jancek coach at UGA for 4 years and knows Bobo, but he came to UT with Butch and I can't imagine him taking a downward move, unless the wife really does want to get out of Knoxville, Colorado wouldn't be a bad place to head to.

How can it Ethically questionable when State gives you only a one year contract?

You do what is right for you and your family. Mack Brown threw Diaz under bus and moved him into administration, a demotion that could have ruined his career. Some guys are saying Mullin is not the most likeable guy to work for. I mean Shannon Dawson was let go in less than a year, big pay out coming to him but still a firing. Assts. should do what is best regardless, Miami is a major upgrade over MSU and the fact he is from there is a bonus.

Good for UK to have MSU some potential coaching carousel as they are our permanent SEC West foe.
