Should be a good one. One concern for Mitchell the Mtn Heritage game is the closest game since the lost to Andrews , I guess on one hand your starters should be well rested and non-starters some playing experience just as long as it doesn't make you play sloppy, something about winning some hard fought games before the playoffs and tonight sure didn't change that.

Like a lot of other SMC teams this Fall it depends on which Swain team shows up. It could be a close game or it could be a 3 td win for Mitchell. Who knows
Should be a good game. I doubt I will be a blowout either way.

Mitchell has vastly improved since that game. Swain has not gotten any better. Yes they did handle Hayesville but like I said if swain shows up like they did against Cherokee, it’ll be over quick.
While I think it will probably turn out to be a close game I do agree if the Swain D-line plays like they did Cherokee or Robbinsville with Mitchell's run game they'll have long night. But like someone said in the Swain/ Hayesville thread Swain concerning the Cherokee game, Swain played a tough game with Murphy on a Friday then Robbinsville on Tuesday then Cherokee that Friday so there could have been a fatigue issue, so I'm counting on seeing the same D in saw in the Cherokee game.
Go swain…if they win and Thomasville wins Thomasville will have a home game
Swain now has a freshman starting on the D line. And last night the same pass defense I was worried about had three pick sixes. And that with Hayesville's six' six" player back. Wish I could remember the kids name but he was and is a fine baller. Hate to see these guys in basketball!
As has been stated by BK we were handily beaten by Andrew's whom Swain waxed. Gonna be a tough task.
Swain didn’t wax Andrews. Martin kid for Andrews was about 50% as was Weaver. Weaver may have been a little healthier than Martin but both were nursing injury. The score was 21-12. That isn’t waxing anyone.
Getting ready for Hayesville and getting ready for Mitchell defensively is about as opposite as you can get....
Hayesville's rushing average per game was around 86 yards 855 total that's the same as Mitchell's passing yards avg per game 100 attempts 948 total.
Hayesville's passing yards avg per game was about 221 ..253 attempts..2209 total
Mitchell's rushing yards avg per game is 302 ...3323 total.

Pretty sure Martin was injured that game and weaver was ok too. Swain by 6.
This is what I’m thinking. If swain shows up to play this game. If not, I think it’ll be more like 28-35 to 7-10
Two ground and pound teams playing mountain football. I watched both teams on video a few weeks ago and both are good teams so this one should be close. Any injuries on either team this week?

Should be a good game between two good programs. Mitchell lost to Andrews and Swain beat Andrews. Mitchell was down 2 starting linemen going into the game and lost a 3rd halfway through the first quarter. Swain lost at home to Mtn Heritage and Mitchell went to Mtn Heritage and won 33-0. Swain went to Mitchell in 2019 in the 3rd round and and the score was 38-6 Mitchell. Swain had fought schedule playing Murphy Robbinsville and Cherokee in an 8 day span. Should be a great atmosphere for high school playoff action.
I wouldn't say Weaver was 100%, still battling effects of dislocated shoulder from Mitchell game.
I figured this would come up again so I looked at the short videos on MaxPreps of Watauga before Andrews and Mtn Heritageand after Andrews and the Andrews game and took snapshots...
61, 63 & then 60 missing in the Andrews game plus not just who was missing but who was on the field at some point in the Andrews game who don't usually play a lot at least at that point of the season at least didn't see them in the Watauga short videos 73, 75 , 76 ,77 and 72 who is a freshman. I noticed though like in the Mtn Heritage some of them have been rotating in so maybe some more playing experience is what they needed.
But like I've said before they did also play like they were sleep walking and sometimes you for whatever have a bad game while I think there are different reasons why it doesn't matter they didn't play good but they've looked more focused since then so maybe it was a walk-up call.
A guy from Hayesville told me yesterday when the frost hits the yellowjackets die, sad but true it's a basketball town

All y'all that actually believe this will be a close game are hilarious. Mitchell will blow out Swain by at least 3 TDs. Probably more. They won't get a true test until they play MA.
