I think it helps a lot with regard to public opinion; however, I certainly hope his attorney blessed his statement. Good for you, Joe. Boomer Sooner!
I think most would agree that Joe's apology signals Molitor dropping her suit with some really minor amount of money and his agreement to apologize. Otherwise, Joe's attorneys, assuming they are worth anything wouldn't have agreed to allow him to apologize. With an apology she could use it against him.
I understand how you could feel that way. Really. It's not easy for me either but I've never been in his situation. I'll never know how I would react because I'm not black.
Forgive me for being a little skeptical of Joe's intent. Not a bad idea to attempt to mitigate matters. This tells me he is not likely to return net year. It's a "Pro" move.
