16 carries for almost 160 yards. Granted, the Tech defense is terrible.

But still, for the first time, you could really see what he's capable of. Amazing juking and cut-back ability, and then the ability to finish with power.

As our oline gets better (and I believe it's getting better as the season goes on), I think we'll see both Perine and Mixon become more productive. Either of those guys with a little open field is a risky proposition for the opposing defense.

And maybe, just maybe, by the time we play TCU, our rushing attack will be good enough to give us a legitimate chance to win that game. We'll need a balanced attack win that day. We'll need to keep Boykin off the field.

Have to keep making progress though...

ya know? I am not seriously concerned with TCU...just can't see us beating Baylor at their place. Need some serious prep and turnovers in that game.

With Seth Russell's broken bone in his neck, anything is possible especially if he does not play.

Mixon's talent was evident since the Akron game.

As was stated a few weeks ago, it was up to the offensive line to start giving him and Perine something to work with. They did just that today and surprise, surprise, Mixon looks worth all the hype and Perine is back to his old form.

This isn't shocking to most of us.

Both backs should be b12 O players of the week. They both had great games. Mixon also did well receiving. Best the O line has looked all year. Getting better.

Receivers had multiple drops today. 2 in the end zone. Need to do better down the stretch.

You know, there was no way MSU was beating Baylor last year. Just saying!

This should make us all be grateful for coaches like Bob, he has a kind heart. Some coaches will do anything to win.
