MKG averaging 10 points and almost 8 rebounds which is outstanding, but the guy is a lock down defender who sets the tone for one of top 10 team defenses in nba. He deserves more and more credit and i am excited to see what is in store cor him and hornets team. Would love to see a other wildcat on their roster. Mkg was a great pick for charlotte at #2 and he is a winner.

DPOY is largely a reputation award. He will start to get touted for it in the next year, or two, if he can keep improving, and compete well in the play-offs.

A Hornets-Cavs play-off match-up could be big for MKG if the Hornets can win a game or 2 (unlikely) and he can make Lebron work for everything he gets.

That momentum carries into the next season.

He has the chance to be Ron Artest with a more versatile offensive game.
