I'm confused. Aren't mass shootings overwhelmingly by one person, not a group? Net, how could this be LV-style since that was one shooter?

You could say it was stopped by an immigrant maid as the police would have likely never known about it if not for her reporting it.

Where does it say the maid was an immigrant?

And why does that matter since we’re all immigrants? Or so I’ve been reminded repeatedly.

I did not hear about that one

Really? It was a little north of Boston. Basically 11 or so Islamics had vans full of weapons and they were going for "training" and "target practice" in Maine. Odd timing for practice as it was the day before the 4th. Stopped traffic a little after where we turned off for RI.

They belong to the "Rise of the Moors". Extremists who legit believe the laws of the US don't apply to them. Looks like we narrowly avoided a mass shooting on Independence Day.

The Moops would have gotten away with it.

The hotel employee who called the police should be awarded the All-Star Game MVP. :)

This is the real hero. Although one wonders if at least one of them didn't want to get caught because this was thankfully very careless.

As another poster aptly stated, this is all driven by media and social media attention. They deified the columbine shooters then the Aurora shooter too.

Unfortunately in today's world, it takes everyone being vigilant all the time so these can be stopped before they start.

Didn't hear about it down here in VA.

I thought all drug deals were done at Red Roof Inns. Looked that way the last time I stayed in one.
If you're staying in a Red Roof, you're either doing or dealing drugs, A hooker, cheating on your spouse, or kicked out of your house. Which one was it the last time you stayed?

Wonder why? They weren't white so it went largely ignored by mainstream media.

Well . . . I read about it in the LHL online edition the next day, so don't believe it was ignored. And they all got arrested, so what is your point?

Actually, they are claiming they had every right to be heavily armed and on the highway, going to be an interesting legal fight for sure.

Why did people stop just offing themselves instead of taking dozens of innocents with them?
because the media plasters their names all over the news until the next tragedy comes along. Some people want to be famous and if they can't be then they will be infamous instead.

They were Americans. Not immigrants.

The point was that there was insinuation a bit that immigrants helped stop an attack elsewhere, with a tone of "See, immigrants are good". And while some of these guys may be American, they CLEARLY want nothing to do with our government or law.

That guy can say "We're not anti-government" all he wants. The group he belongs to, who all of them belong to, are very much so. They believe the US Gov't laws don't apply to them.

2AM, armed to the teeth, vehicles not registered, the land they claimed didn't exist, moving a convoy, the day before the nations holiday. Too many red flags.

I don't disagree with that, and they were arrested. If it were the 3 percenters or the Proud Boys, I hope they would have been arrested as well, for the same reason, i.e., for violating state law about the type of arms they were carrying (at least that is what I remember they got arrested for). Cops didn't know what their beliefs or philosophy was when they got the call, only that there were a bunch of armed men at 2 AM on the highway. Which situation tends to draw the attention of the law.

And as I stated above, they have not denied having arms, but claim they are entirely within their rights to do so)

I mistakenly took your post as an often regurgitated anti-immigrant stance that willfully discounts every one of our ancestors as immigrants. Other than the indigenous population of course.

As far as the group "Rise of the Moors". They are on watchlists for some of the things you describe as they also seem to invoke these same American laws but only when it suits them.
