Apparently there are mods for the site, but their appearance and intervention is kind of hit or miss. A few days ago, someone started a thread imploring UK to fire Stoops and hire the newly-fired Chip Kelly. It got rather interesting, but when I checked it the next morning the thread was gone.

I agree with the OP - it's embarrassing that a game thread on Loserville/A&M has persisted on the board this long. The season thread, while relevant to a point during the season, is no longer so.

I cast my vote for deleting or at least locking both threads.

Very good.

Some unannounced changes, at least I didn't see it posted, to edit a post now you first have to click tools at the bottom of the post, and to get off Wildcat Lair you have to click MENU at the top left.

Glad to see them delete the silly post about hiring Chip, the only thing is I wasted several minutes on a post making fun of that thread, then had nowhere to post it. I think Chip made that a pointless thread anyway when he said he wasn't going back to college ball.

Georgia leading PSU by two TDs at the half, I hope they beat their carpetbagger coach by 50.

Looks like the A&M/Otis thread has been locked - thanks.

The other thread has had a great run - but IMO it's time to retire it.

If I may, I'll try to explain to you why it's difficult to make some of you happy all of the time.

The thread that you are critical of being removed too quickly (I did it) was started by a rival fan, most likely Louisville fan to poke at this fan base. The two threads that you are critical of being left up too long were both started by Kentucky fans. One thread even asked Louisville fans to join in. So, are we to allow only other fan bases to control the content here, or do we allow UK fans to control it? I doubt you want the first option.

If a UK fan wants to start a thread about Louisville that's up to him/her but when you do so, know that there is a great chance it will attract some Louisville fans. We don't ban all fans that are not UK fans, yes that allows some bad one's to make a post but then that is what we are here for. Feel free to use the report feature if you think we are looking over something.

You have always had your edit button at the bottom of your post, that didn't change that I know of with the new message boards. Also, at all times if you'll look right above where you're reading there will be a "FORUMS" link to navigate the site. There are actually multiple ways but that is an easy one.

JB ..the problem is nobody but Otis fans were posting on the threads therefore they should be taken down or locked ...let them go to thir own sites and start another

Thanks for the explanation, I appreciate it. It was obvious the post that you deleted was from a troll, and really I had no problem with it being deleted. I was just citing that as an example of a moderator taking action on this board (in this case you) when some previous posts implied that moderators were not doing anything at all.

I guess I don't need posts to be locked just because I get tired of them. I just wish there was a way to ignore a thread the way we can ignore a poster. The only way to do that now that I can think of is to ignore the OP, and I may not want to do that for various reasons. If there is some way to otherwise ignore a thread to make it disappear from my screen, please share it.

Thanks

Just don't click on broski, if it's a thread about two teams neither of them Kentucky, I don't even know it exists even on this board.

Kudos for getting rid of Championship Roster and Jay Reimschneider. Now if you'll get rid of cardinals1970, and the UL trolls posing as UK fans such as RuppsRevenge and Pedro Danger, it would be greatly appreciated.

you gotta be kidding me. I just left the UL board banging heads with zipp and steeler. trust me steelers days as a mod are short , and zipp will lose his privlage real soon.

BUT. WHy would we not want good conversation about our team from outside fans ? as long as we all stay civil their is no reason to ban anyone. some of you think because it says UK board we all gotta drink the cool aid. just stop. this is a free open forum with free speech. guys like zipp are trash and take things to a level none of us adults want. let's not be like him or steeler and listen and have good conversations or even debates at the end we shake hands. do not need to lower ourselves
