And now he's off to Maryland. Why post this now, it happened years ago. Stupid of the interviewer to press on the drama instead of letting the kid enjoy what should be a happy day. I get that he needs to ask, but do it once and move on. Jeez. BTW I read that mom wasn't happy because apparently the kid had some friends with gang ties and she was hoping he'd take the opportunity to move away from the friends he had surrounded himself with. No idea how true that is since I didn't research it at all, but if true mom's heart was in the right place for sure.
