His twin is committed to Auburn. Just seems weird we'd consider ourselves a player here but we did invest loads of time to recruiting the boozer twins so who knows. (Yes i know that was almost exclusively cal).

Volume but extremely insufficient scorer

6-7 with 160 pounds weight

No to me

Yeah im iffy on him
Guys, no offense here. But if our staff is interested in him, and he's drawing interest from Self, Cal, and Oats (who has shown he can assemble a team from the portal that kicks our teeth in), maybe they all know more than you and he'd be a good piece to have?

I have full trust in staff …just my opinion on him if he commits here he will have my full support.

Choosing who to recruit must have been so easy for Cal. Do people think he is one and done? If so, recruit him!

I can have my view and I could be wrong

I am not high on this guy

If Pope holds him in high regard, I’d be happy to support it

To be fair Self has like one player next year in Peterson so keep your phone charged he might have to call you soon.

He definitely has the height to fill out and get to a minimum of 175lbs.

But if he was 6’1 - 165lbs would you feel the same? Asking bc Dillingham was 6’1 - 160 to 170 depending on where you look (164 at the combine—UK listed at 174). —-Ulis was 149lbs at the combine: UK listed him at 160

If he was a 4man then there’s no question that he’s too light. But as a guard, with 6’7 height, he can get away with being 165-170…even if I’d rather see him north of 180.

I do not know if he can be developed as tall pg

But if he plays sg/sf, he will be bullied by every sec wing...

Also, his extremely low rim percentage (45.2 percent) in a bad league raises a ton of concerns

He needs to be 185-190 at least to compete in SEC

All valid points. I’d like to think/assume that if he’s at a major program with all the tools, top tier nutrition and weight staff around him, that his 6’7 frame could quickly put on 10-15lbs in an off season.

He is extremely inefficient

Bashir is ineffective at the rim (45.2 percent)
He probably won’t take almost 600 shots at UK.

Not every player is going to be a star in the portal. Bashir has a useful skill, making and generating 3 point shots, that gives him value on the market.

Guys that can generate over 10 3 attempts a game and make them at over 38% is a rare skill.

He has a ton of potential on offense

Could be the gravity guy

Just a taller Dillingham with way less efficiency

It seems that Auburn does not contact this guy (despite his brother commits to Auburn)

There must be some reasons

Choosing who to recruit must have been so easy for Cal. Do people think he is one and done? If so, recruit him!

Could be theyre still playing. Could be something else like they end up somewhere else together.

The twin element is definitely noteworthy though.

6'7 160 damn, he's built like my youngest son (6'2 130).
I hope he's really good defensively, although only 0.5 stl and 0.1 blk.

That aspect of this story is kind of odd so far. It looks like the brother was at a JUCO while this guy was at Monmouth, so maybe they’ve already just gotten used to living separate lives and aren’t a package deal recruitment and that’s all there is to it. It is a bit surprising that Auburn apparently isn’t on the list when the other supposed interest is entirely from major programs though.
