Big Kahunas is a great food place to eat. you may want to check out Apache's Tap Room for some Native American brewed beer. Actually brewed on a real reservation. If you have the time, then head to Widow's Peak as well.

Fish Monger restaurant is excellent

Obviously the 17 mile drive (or is it 21 miles)...Whatever the length of that thing is, it is incredible.

Hit up McWay Falls at Julia Pfieffer Burns State Park about an hour if you're driving down the 1. It will be one of the best photos you will bring back from your trip. Hearst Castle is very cool but it's a haul going down the coast line. It will be the longest 2 and half hours of your life getting there but worth it imo. Also...

Pebble Beach
Monterey Aquarium
Cannery Row has lots of food/bars
Dennis the Menace Park if you have young kids
Remington House
Santa Cruz Boardwalk
Laguna Seca Raceway

Also, I assume you hit up Yosemite, did you get a chance to go to Bodie?

Get real...Is this the kind of quality you have been bringing to the board all these years? Lame.

It's best to read Blue Runners first paragraph in the dialect/elocution of SNLs, "The Californians."

Rio grill just down the street from Monterey in Carmel. It's in a small strip mall with a Safeway grocery. Don't let that sway you. One of the best restaurants in the area! Mission Ranch for dinner. Go early, run into Clint like we did, and don't listen to the stories about him playing piano there on Wednesday evenings. He doesn't. Sit around the bar waiting for table. Seems to always be someone from his circle of friends at the bar with cool stories.

http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=579 Garrapata SP is nice with some awesome views/picture opportunities

http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=571 Point Lobos SP is another you'll hit on the way down from Monterey to Big Sur area. Plenty of trails, seals on the beach (usually) on the right side turn as you go into park and follow road down.

Have fun!
