I can't decide which level of hypocrisy I enjoy more:

a) The idea that someone won't "stoop" to read the site but MUST find the board's opinion on the all-important Ethan Happ question, sending some pitiful lemming to read the content, or;
b) Someone in this group would actually criticize others for going out of their way to support ANY coach.

It's pretty obvious you guys are the essence of a childish, chicken-sh*t clique. Can you at least muster up the decency to pass your little notes and yank each other by DM?

I wanted to comment on this but I didn't. Thanks for being the better/worse person than me.

I know there are two sides to the Kaminsky story, but I'd love to hear one that makes Carmody look good.

Do they honestly not see how childish they sound? It's remarkable...

Styre, You still post here AND take part in their Twitter discussions sometimes (as you did in that one). Do you not see how ridiculous they sound?

If you think these guys suck, why do you bother reading their tweets? You must have better things to do with your time than get upset by their hypocrisy......

It's kind of weird to actively seek out things to be offended by.

They've often made personal attacks against Sec.112. He's not actively seeking to be offended. Besides, I don't mind seeing these guys get called out. When you actively root against the team you claim to be a fan of, you really are the lowest form...

As Virginia has pointed out, do you know how many times this season I've ignored references specifically to me by these idiots? I've been VERY generous. Virginia has done the same many more times than me. And honestly, other posters have started to take more hits than us lately.

This didn't just happen over the last week or two. This is an ongoing m.o.

So, yes, I lurk here and there just as they do. You'll have to excuse me for firing back. Feel free to ignore. I don't blame you. I look forward to the day when I won't need to respond (always a response) to this stupidity.

One more thing. Don't go after, Styre. At least, he's reasonable and respectable enough to stand up out here.

Do you realize that by calling attention to these folks, you're delivering more followers to them and ensuring that more people read apparently disparaging remarks about you? It seems to me that you're shooting yourself in the foot.

Do you also visit their Facebook pages and check their trash bags? They may be scribbing words about you in notebooks or posting things on Facebook. And what about Instagram? Gotta follow them on there, too.

Isn't life way too short?

If they were making unprovoked personal attacks against you, you'd be calling them out too. They're sad, bitter children...

I have no idea what this is about, and I'm glad. Since when did being a NU sports fan become such a chore? Lighten up, Francises!
I don't know who these 'attackers" are either but I would guess one is identified by the letter D. Since Holy Cross was slaughtered, posts regarding the Colonial Conference seemed to have ceased.

No, I wouldn't. I'd laugh, "turn the other cheek", and move on. In the end, who cares? If you're so offended by injustice in the world, then go volunteer at an orphanage or something. Society is not going to collapse if you fail to respond to every slight and insult on the internets. As the kids like to sing, "let it go"...

I'll give you "more" reasonable than the others (and he's toned it down A LOT from the stuff he used to post), but saying things like "Fitz gets outcoached every game" in the midst of a 10-2 season...well, I wouldn't exactly call that reasonable.

Not everyone is like you beetle. They don't like being called out as the haters they are, so it's actually nice to see it happen to them. It doesn't offend me...I find their hateful crap hilarious...the way a petulant child throws a ridiculous temper tantrum. It's sad, but funny...

It is an opinion. There have definitely been some games where Fitz has been out coached but there others that he has out coached the opponent

FWIW, I can't think of a single game NU was out-coached in 2015. The 3 losses were cases where the other team was flat out better, coaching had little to do with it. I'd argue NU out-coached Stanford, Duke, Nebraska, Wisconsin and PSU in 2015. My love for Fitz knows no bounds.

a) The idea that someone won't "stoop" to read the site but MUST find the board's opinion on the all-important Ethan Happ question,

FWIW, Ethan Happ was recruited by 3 schools coming out of high school: Wisky, Green Bay and Milwaukee. He was 6'7", 175 pounds, and would have been decried on this board as another Carmody "reach", a la Nick Fruendt or Mike Turner. The fact that he has turned out to be the best freshman int he Big 10 is amazing and I bet even the biggest Wisconsin fan would admit it is a shock.

Wisky is going to be darn good next season, assuming Hayes stays around for his senior season. Imagine how good they'd be this year if Sam Dekker used his last year of eligibility.

The "you must have better things to do with your time" argument is reasonable unless you want to continue down the road of fabricating discussions and thoughts.

It's an opinion, but not a reasonable one. You don't go 10-2 getting out-coached every game UNLESS you have far superior talent, and we all know that's not the case...

Better talent than NU: Stanford, Tennessee, Wisconsin (debatable due to UW injuries), Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, Penn State (debatable).......... 4-3 record
Worse talent than NU: Illinois, Purdue, Minnesota, Ball State, Eastern Illinois, Duke (debatable)........... 6-0

I think we went 10-3 because we outplayed Stanford and saw Nebby and PSU when those programs have terrible coaches. It's hard to argue that we beat anybody notable but Stanford.

When will you Fitz detractors stop this nonsense! Nebraska beat UCLA in a bowl game and we won in Lincoln so that is a "notable" win and Wisconsin doesn't lose in Madison very often. Our win over Stanford probably kept them out of the "Final four" so that was a "great" win or are you going to tell me it was all about their body clocks being off. Penn State is still Penn State. Their QB will be a pretty high draft pick and our defense has stymied him two years in a row. And we blanked a Minnesota team that also won a bowl (albeit over Central Michigan). Give it a rest!

What a weird fan base. The level of attachment to a multimillionaire, mediocre coach and then the idea that if you liked or appreciated that mediocre coach then means you have to despise the current coach is so junior high...very weird

Coach Chris Collins is not mediocre!!!

I'm not a Fitz detractor. He and I are on good terms and exchange emails periodically. I don't call him up like Wrassler, but I like the guy.

There's no way you're convincing me that Nebby, PSU, Wisky, and Minnesota were great teams last year. I'm thrilled that we won, but these teams weren't that good. Sorry!

Coach Chris Collins is not mediocre!!!

Maybe not. But hopefully he could become so over the next few years while we wait it out for all his blue chip recruits to get us to an NIT.

I for one day give him 2 more full seasons (at least). If we're not last 8 out of the NIT by then... Then maybe we make a change.

Oh Mikey, shouldn't you be drinking merlot with your daddy, talking about if his players had just made shots maybe they would have gotten within 20 of Oregon?

Or maybe he's on a recruiting trip....LOLOLOL

Nope, CC gets at least 10 more years so he can be equitably compared to previous NU coaches. Now go watch Holy Cross in the tournament, oh,wait.

Did I say great? What is a good team in your world? The 10-3 season came against a schedule that I'm sure ranked well above average in terms of its "strength."
