Nice words but you can be sure he and ESPN are hoping the Sooners lose a game so Ohio St can get in the playoffs.
Baker loves to play the game maybe more than any Sooner I've ever seen. It means so much to him and he'll leave as one of my personal favorites of all time. I just hope he has some more hardware to boast before his career at OU is done.
I'm not so sure. While all of us want our team to be successful, Herbie isn't any different. But do I think they would be ok w/ OU. Baker's edge, new HC, etc. After all, OU did beat tOSU and Baker did plant a flag. It'll play well nationally.
I don't believe this at all. No doubt deep down Herbstreit enjoys seeing his Alma Mater succeed. I wouldn't blame any guy for thinkin this way about the place they played football at. But he is the one who was very critical of Ohio State a handful of years ago causing the Ohio State fanbase to turn on him, while also being the most pro-OU guy at ESPN the last 15+ years.
If my memory serves me he moved to Nashville to get his family away from the vitriol being spewed his way in Columbus.
