tons of money (taxpayers?) for out of court settlements. I wonder what is going on with the hoe house deal at Transfer U, wouldn't you think football had a MUCH more miraculous rise there than basketball, and do you even need football to have a good basketball program, ie Villanova.

I am really upset that TU didn't have to defend their AD's dumb claim that athletes are treated like all students there in light of the eight thugs that should have been charged with attempted murder not even getting a parking ticket------the buyout was probably money well spent.

Maybe nothing, but it doesn't look good:

Botch Jones has found his fall guy. This guy has been with Botch for 10+ years, so much for loyalty.

Meanwhile at UK....so and so has been suspended indefinitely for waking up on the wrong side of the bed.

In the SEC the high road is the road less traveled but here in the bluegrass you have to act like God's right hand man. FTS, IMO

No, just my opinion but the eight thugs at TU kicking TWO men while down in separate incidents with NO consequences, no lawsuits, no surveillance film THE NEXT MORNING, etc etc, with NO charges files (and a limo ride home) is the worst single incident of thuggery AND coverup that I have ever heard of..

I think Transfer U is more appropriate for UL, but of course they are leaders in loads of other kinds of chicanery. jurich is a work of art.

Hard to know who really deserves the title between the two though, jurich is very good at what he does. He AND his staff shouldn't be allowed around young people IMO but then money rules.

I don't think the outrageous win at all costs philosophies that cause these outrageous actions and coverups to exist should ever be forgotten, and I try to bring it up whenever possible. That includes Transfer U. So keep commenting, I welcome the chance to discuss it again.

So, how do you think your AD that said TU athletes aren't treated any different than other students on campus would have fared when the coverup and ZERO consequences for the EIGHT football thugs DOUBLE felony was brought up by the plaintiff's lawyers? The one with practically ZERO consequences for the football team (Myers charge was for resisting arrest, and was his THIRD offense, one being the convenience store robbery where he was the lookout that was covered up, or was that five star Jantzen, also eventually kicked out AFTER being sent home for a semester to dry out------the one later charged with a pretty gruesome murder I believe). Wasn't TU's policy at the time FIVE drug failures before being kicked out, while UK and Georgia's policy was two times. Of course you can point to Transfer U, I don't think they have a limit, and if they do it probably doesn't matter, as I said, jurich and his crew are very good at what they do.

Of course there was ONE of the eight that was suspended for the season opening cliffhanger against Tennessee Martin, where TU eked out a 52-0 late scoring drive win. LOL.

It might have been closer than I thought though, maybe only 51-0, not worth looking up.

That reminds me of the non-fiction political #1 best seller written by Hilary's advisor for 20 years. He could be added to the purported 61 on their death list that have accidentally died.. I know a guy (Harvard guy) that was a friend of an Air Force General on that list that died in an ultra safe piper cub crash. You would think they would know a good lawyer that could sue these people saying these outrageous things (many more stories out there)-------IF they weren't true. Of course their law degree was just to further their much more lucrative careers as lawyer/politicians, that have taken over the country.

Pretty sorry choices we have to lead our country IMO, but then I think it is still very important to vote, to offset some of the cliques that have been bought for their votes.

No one new I'm pretty sure, he is talking about UK's (the administration at least) propensity to dismiss players that wouldn't have a problem at some of our Rival schools.

And of course the more stringent rules our coaches have to abide by.

OK, I will TRY to explain to you how it works. Pay attention please.

When you break any law (or they say you did) they try to find any other little thing they can to add to it, as in a traffic ticket, and if they can find any other thing they will add it to the list, that way they can offer to drop some of the charges IF you plead guilty to the one or two, or more------common if you haven't noticed. In a case like this, they charge all of them with attempted murder and let them plea bargain, also to get anyone not really involved to sing like a canary. Tried and true tactic, proven to work. Look at the list of charges against OJ in the Las Vegas case where they threw the book at him------probably delayed justice.

The reason I brought the attempted murder up to start with is in a local case two men kicked a man while down outside a casino AND it was caught on camera (don't know about Tennessee but surveillance cameras are required in bars here, interesting story about that but too long) AND the two men were charged with attempted murder------true story. Unfortunately in the Thug U case the OIC in charge "forgot" to check the film that night, and, lo and behold, it was defective in the morning. Coincidence or convenience? So poor Dooley couldn't tell who the real culprit was so he couldn't punish anyone, LOL, well he did suspend one for the 52-0 laugher, that'l learn em durn em.. Wonder why he didn't take them in one at a time and tell them they were off the team if they didn't talk, wonder how many of them would have covered for their teammate that some of them MIGHT have been ashamed of anyway------but then they were TU players. It was a 6' 5" 320# DT against a 5' 10" fatty to start with, you know, but being a TU player maybe he needed all that help, eight on one seems fair to some people------people known as thugs.

Then they repeated the scene against an off duty police officer on their way out. Funny, I thought policemen were supposed to prevent and punish crime, (they nailed me the other day for an "improper stop" at a stop sign, a ridiculous charge for someone that stopped with NO danger involved------of course they reduced it to a parking ticket, with the same fine of course) not laugh it off, but no charges, no lawsuit (by either party, in our sue crazy ambulance chasing society). Weird, unless there were other "compensations" like TU just awarded the other plaintiffs recently,, legal taxpayers cash in that case, but this would have to be jobs, cars, season tickets, etc etc. Maybe they were honored as fan of the month at a game, you know, taking one for the team. Funny, but in my officials association you were REQUIRED to press charges against any fan or coach that laid a hand on you, or you were kicked out of the association.

What makes the local case more noticeable is there were only two men involved, they weren't huge athletes, AND the victim required NO medical attention while the thugs victims went to the hospital, one with a concussion.

Amazing set of coincidences to see NO charges OR lawsuits by anybody, I think I will get a group together and go out and have some fun------but then I don't know any real thugs, and yours were probably amped up on steroids..

Thanks for the opportunity to elaborate, come play again, we don't want it to be forgotten.

Isn't impersonating a police officer also a felony?

Nah, if it was true half the Louisville and Knoxville police force would be in jail, half of them are fans dressed up in police uniforms.

Reminds me of the newspaper story of the local judge I know that bought new office furniture, carpet, etc. When the City Council said they could have put a half a cop on the street with that money he replied that they already had a couple of those out there.

When I told him that was one of the funniest things I had heard he said, yeah, but you don't know how much trouble that cost me.

Didn't you come on here saying UT wanted the defendants to get on the stand, UT was not going to be bullied about in settling. You said UT wanted to fight this. Hmmm. What happened.
You argued with me when I said I Knew specifics from different lawyer friends familiar with case. I said I was told Jones would have been fired if it went to court, Hart would have to resign, it would bring up the Pat Summit fiasco and what went down, it would have brought up the reason UCONN and UT women don't play anymore. It was going to be bad. I would say the late night call, code red on the player would have all gotten Jones fired.

Tell us more.

I was really looking forward to the lawsuit and all that would have brought out, looks like they knew it was worth whatever it cost to keep it out of the headlines. Where exactly did that hush money come from? Whatever, I would say it was cheap at any price.

No arguments, no rebuttals, just lol? No contradicting the facts, all in print, just lol because you got away with it again, decades of the "Orange Pride" recruiting and now all the payoffs and coverups going on now.

Just win, baby.

And don't thank me, I owe you, thanks for keeping it alive..
