Moreno and Colin Chandler have been the bright spots.
I think if JQ can just be the defensive force that he was...I think he and Moreno could play well together, and we put DA, CC and OO out there with them, I think we would have a pretty stout defense. I would give that five 28 minutes each and let the others compete for the rest

That would be a good start but if we cant figure out how to play lockdown defense on 3 point shooters not to sure Moreno and JQ would matter to much.

Agree with the defensive force potential. And obviously haven’t seen Quaintance play this season, so maybe he changes my mind. However, I saw him some last season and was impressed by his incredible athleticism (and since then impressed by his intelligence and the way he handles himself) but I would never have wanted him playing PF for my team. In fact, unless I see something vastly different or it’s a case of a particular matchup (Mich maybe) I never want to see Quaintance, Moreno or Garrison on the floor together. All good players, but I think how pieces fit matters tremendously – and I don’t thinks those players fit together well.

I am willing to give it a look. They are different kinds of players. I also think our perimeter defense could really get up on shooters with a couple of shot blockers guarding the paint

I think that’s the issue many wonder about. Assuming JQ does return…that’s basically JQ, Moreno, Garrison, and MO that you can’t have two of on the floor at the same time or the offense (as it is currently run) is just putrid. Then what? What it boils down to, and always has, this roster is just poorly constructed.

If that lineup led to more pressure and giving a lot less space on the perimeter I could understand how that might work.
