We had some overgrown climbing rose bushes on an arbor/trellis in the backyard. Stalks on one side were approaching 2" in dia and had thorns the size of shark teeth on them. I hacked them all down, cut them into manageable lengths and was placing the pieces into plastic bags.
As I was moving one full bag to the garbage can, one of the large thorns on the biggest stem caught on the bottom of the bag. It was still trapped under the weight of the pile, so as I walked away, it built up some spring tension and then released with some force when the bag ripped, driving one of those shark teeth into the top of my foot b/c my brilliant *** was wearing flip flops.
Hurt like a mofo. Anyway, that was in late July... just got the tip of the broken thorn out of the top of my foot this morning, so, I'm pretty stoked...
