Can’t say they didn’t buy in on the defensive end. Numbers would probably be higher without a few games missed for each guy too. And how many steals were a result of Tre’s pressure?

I said the same thing, lol

And nothing against Greg, but that team’s defensive prowess on the perimeter was suspect at best. And steals aren’t the only measure for good defense, but I just don’t remember that team pressuring enough to allow Paulus to grab almost 2 steals a game.

I always thought steals were a misguiding stat on defense. Allen Iverson stole the ball a lot, but he was a terrible on the ball defender. He couldn't stay in front of anyone. Same for Paulus.

I agree. It’s typically a convenience stat. Right place, right time, bad decision by the opposing team. In some instances, it’s validation, like in Tre’s case.

I was just very surprised Paulus found his way to that many on a bad defensive team.
