Mountain Lions? Anybody like 'em?

I thought we were required to have a new mountain lion thread once a week, so I'll start.

Is that not right? Mods, please delete if I have misunderstood this.

Anyway, I'm getting pretty damn tired of seeing 2-3 of 'em strolling through my yard every night. Last night one took care of Snowball(the neighbor's poodle). Now that isn't , on the whole, a bad thing, but still, enough's enough.

Should I call KY Dept Of Wildlife...or whoever is in charge of these things?

If only there was somebody or some resource on this board that I could turn to , that could tell me where they are coming from, how far they have travelled, how long they will stay, when they escaped from their owners, and what their DNA makeup is. That would help me decide how to approach them.

There's no need to do DNA test them. The native Kentucky strain is easy to identify.

There are NO wild mount in lions in Kentucky. Its just that simple.

The puma is elusive and may leap upon you from a hidden position biting and scratching if it mistakes you as its prey. Neck bites are particularly dangerous so you should crouch in a ball like fetal position and make high pitched whimpering noises similar to that of a young pup should one attack you. Do not expose your loins to the big cat as it will take this as a sign of aggression and attempt to defeat you in combat.
