I would like to see a Goonies 2 movie with most of the original cast brought back. At least Josh Brolin, Sean Astin, Corey Feldman, and the Fratelli brothers (Joe Pantoliano, Robert Davi). They could bring back some of the others as well but I am not sure how many still are acting.

There was talk of doing a sequel but I believe the holdup is trying to get a good story for it. I think a good storyline would be to have a Goonies reunion with them being the adults and bringing their kids back to the old hometown. While there they can tell their kids about their adventure of finding One Eyed Willie's treasure. Sean Astin's character (now a historian type like his father) could tell them he came across another map/clue leading to another treasure and talk the guys into taking their kids on an adventure. Unfortunately for them, the Fratelli brothers are out of prison and looking for a little revenge.

Knowing Hollywood, they would just reboot the original classic and ruin it.

Yep, it would be Hollywood that would ruin Goonies 2. No other factor would cause it to fail. Just Hollywood.

Well if you call camping at the lake with your dad and his friends the same as going out looking for treasure with criminals trying to kill you and your kids then yeah I guess just like Grown Ups.

Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon are pretty good but I'm afraid I would have flashbacks to Target Lady and Justin Bieber.

Probably best to leave it "as is".

Lol you said Target Lady and I immediately thought of the Transgender Target Lady at my Target that looks kind of like a white version of that black man there with the pretty smile....montrezl or whatever.

I like both of those movies. Especially Snatch. One of my favorite Pitt roles. I'm gonna have to check it out.

Snatch is one of my all-time favorites too and I read that it's Pitt's favorite movie that he's done. He was originally supposed to be Turkish's character.
